Schezwan Cheese Balls Recipe

Introduction:

Indo-Chinese Schezwan cheese balls are a delightful treat that packs a spicy punch with the distinct flavors of Schezwan sauce and the crispy bite of spring onions. These snacks are a hit in India, perfect as starters or for serving at cocktail parties.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup grated processed cheese
  • 1 tablespoon Surabhi’s Schezwan Sauce
  • ½ cup finely chopped spring onions (both green and white parts)
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped garlic or Surabhi’s Ginger Garlic Paste
  • 2 tablespoons plain flour
  • 1 tablespoon rice flour
  • ½ tablespoon dry red chili flakes
  • Salt to taste
  • Surabhi’s Tomato ketchup
  • Oil for deep frying

How to Make:

1. Use Surabhi’s Jain Schezwan Sauce.
2. Add two tablespoons of Surabhi's Schezwan Sauce to the grated cheese.
3. Grate the cheese to make blending easier and add ½ tablespoon of plain flour to adjust the consistency.
4. Keep the cheese in the refrigerator until ready to use to prevent it from becoming too soft.
5. Use dry red chili flakes or finely chopped green chili according to your preference for spiciness.
6. Since cheese is naturally salty, be cautious while adding extra salt.
7. While shaping the balls, handle them gently to avoid breakage.
8. Chill the balls for 15 minutes before frying to ensure they hold their shape.
9. Combine all the ingredients for the Schezwan cheese balls in a bowl and mix thoroughly by hand.
10. Shape the mixture into small balls.
11. Fry a few balls at a time in hot oil in a nonstick pan until they turn golden brown on all sides.

Serve with Surabhi's tomato ketchup and enjoy the delicious Schezwan Cheese Balls.
